Passing wind or simply known as fart, is the releasing of intestinal gas from the anus. Farting is a physiological process and everyone does fart. In fact, the average person farts about 15 times a day, producing half a litre of fart gas.
This intestinal gas we release can be odourless or foul-smelling gas depending on the food we consume. Swallowed air can give off odourless farts while healthy foods containing sulphate tend to give off foul smelling farts.
Chewing a gum or sucking a candy can increase your intestinal gas, leading to increased in frequency of farting.
