Why Guys Feel Abdominal Pain When Hit On Their Testes

kick in the nuts

Most men have experienced it. Getting hit in the crotch or getting your nuts squished at one time or the other. The interesting thing is that the pain is not only felt in the scrotum but also in the abdomen too. This is because during development, the testes were actually located in the abdomen before they descended into the scrotum, taking along with them their sensory nerve supply. Hence, the testes and abdomen are both connected to the solar plexus located in the abdomen.

Along with this excruciating pain can come dizziness, nausea or even vomiting. These could happen because signals are sent to the brain to release endorphins which act as a natural pain killer. The endorphins released cause a reduction in oxygen levels in the brain, thereby causing dizziness, headache or nausea.

Usually, the pain should fade away within 15 minutes, however, if the pain persists longer than 15 minutes, it is strongly advised to visit a doctor.
