In 2015, Malaria Killed More Than 300,000 African Children Under Five

Malaria in Children

Malaria is one of the most common and dangerous infections, and is mostly predominant in Africa. It is transmitted through the bite of the female anopheles mosquito, and causes high fevers which, if progresses to be severe, can lead to death.

It has been observed that children under five years are particularly susceptible to the disease, therefore, are more likely to die as a result of it.
